Marlin's Story

Marlin is 5 pounds of perfection! This 13-year-old senior was left outside of a firehouse in New Haven, Connecticut, in terrible condition. He was covered in fleas and needed to be shaved down to remove his matted fur. Today, Marlin is feeling much better! While his fur grows back in, we are keeping him warm with sweaters and warming pads.

Marlin is a happy little guy; he gets along with other dogs and loves attention. He enjoys being held and will climb right into your lap to snuggle. He also loves to give kisses, even though his breath is a little stinky! Marlin is also a good eater and loves to chow down at mealtimes.

At the vet, he can be a little spicy, so we recommend muzzling him. During his exam, he was given a Cytopoint injection and an antibiotic for his skin. Once Marlin gains weight and his skin heals, he will need a dental surgery, which VPR will cover at the adopter's vet.

Marlin is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had full blood work.

If you're interested in adopting Marlin, please submit an application at: https://www.vintagepetrescue.org/adopt
