Marley's Story

Our facility is open for adoptions by appointment. Please complete the adoption questionnaire found at this link https://form.jotform.com/211596541894163 . Once we have received your completed questionnaire someone will be in touch to set up an appointment for you to come in and meet the pet(s) you are interested in. If you have questions prior to completing the questionnaire please email info@clarkshelter.org or call (859)737-0053. Appointments will not be scheduled until the questionnaire is completed. This process can typically be completed the same day or by the next day depending on appointment availability.

Marley came to the shelter under odd circumstances. She was in poor condition- thin, with severe skin irritation and hair loss. We have since determined that she has allergies, the most significant of which is to chicken (more common than owners realize) and will require a chicken free diet including treats, etc. But we have easily been able to manage this in the shelter so we know it can be done in a home as well. We would love to find someone with Doberman experience as they will likely understand the allergies that are common with the breed.

Marley is a very sweet girl. She loves people once she knows them and will be your loyal friend forever. She can be a little unsure about new people and places so patience and positive reinforcement is going to be vital to her success. Because Marley is a little unsure, she is looking for a home without children under the age of 14. Due to her breed, potential adopters will need to own their home. We believe Marley is house trained.
