MARIO's Story
*For any questions or to learn more about the adoption process, please contact us at inquiry@kpupsforlove.org.

Meet Mario — The Loving Rascal with a Big Heart!

Mario was rescued as one of six puppies born to a stray dog that had been repeatedly giving birth on the streets — and he's grown into a playful, affectionate, and smart young dog. He's the kind of pup who loves to lean into you, snuggle up, and charm you with his big personality and clever tricks (he knows sit, down, paw, "house," and can even open the front door for you!). Mario thrives around people and other dogs, especially his siblings, though he can be a bit protective of toys or treats when other dogs are nearby — however, he never shows any aggression to people, even if you take something from his mouth. He walks beautifully on a leash with minimal pulling, loves to play outdoors, and is potty trained to potty both outdoors and indoors. He does have some separation anxiety and will bark or cry if left completely alone, but he does great if he has a dog friend by his side. Mario full of energy, full of love, and ready for a home that will keep up with his playful spirit and give him the companionship he craves. A fenced yard and a doggy sibling would be ideal for this sweet, smart boy.

Quick Facts about Mario:

Breed: Mixed breed
Approx.
