Thankfully, a kind person found her and brought her to a high-kill shelter, where our rescuer saved her just in time. She has since been spayed, vaccinated, and came to Canada in early September. She’s now decompressing and adjusting beautifully in her foster home in Kitchener.<br/><br/>About Him/Her<br/>Marine is a very smart girl who learns quickly — she even solved the most difficult level of a dog puzzle within minutes! She’s affectionate, happy, and loves greeting her foster parents with joyful spins.<br/>We believe her previous owner was a man who may have mistreated her, as she becomes fearful if a man raises his voice. When her previous foster dad once yelled (not at her, but loudly), she cowered and hid under a table. Because of her past, Marine can be a bit skittish and uneasy around loud noises, but her current foster family is helping her build confidence.<br/>She is potty trained, loves playing with toys, and enjoys her walks and outdoor time. She does well with children who are gentle and respectful toward dogs. Occasionally, she may bark when she feels insecure, but if you calmly tell her “no,” she settles quickly.<br/><br/>Marine is a resilient girl who is overcoming her past trauma and blossoming into a loving, loyal companion.
