Mariah's Story

Hi! My name is Mariah and I am looking for a forever home. I wandered up into a home and the homeowner tried to find who my owner might be but with no luck. His dogs didn't like me much so he turned me into the local shelter and unfortunately, no one came looking for me there, either. Then my luck really changed ... a BCAA volunteer came through and I gave her my best puppy-dog eyes, and she said BCAA would help me ... yeah! My foster mom says I have a beautiful chocolate coat with a definite thick lab tail and sweet lab personality ... while I'm just a little shy when first meeting new people, it doesn't take me long to learn I can trust you and then I love getting attention from you. The vet thinks I'm about 4 yers old and I weigh just a little over 45lbs. I have gotten along with all the other foster dogs I've met and basically just ignore the cats I've encountered. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding, but I would really prefer to be out with you. I am good on leash and love going out on adventures with you. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
