Margo May's Story
Margot is a 10lb, 14 week old energetic girl. Best guess is that she is a cattle dog mix and may be around 25 pounds when full grown. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Margot spent a third of her life so far at the shelter and is enthusiastically discovering the outside world. She dives head first into every new experience and so far hasn't shown much fear at all, new people, other dogs, even fireworks were fine. Zoomies is her favorite sport and she hasn't met a toy that she doesn't love. She is a really loving puppy, she leans her head on your chest and gives gentle kisses. She also loves to nap curled up against your lap.

She is working on crate training and while she doesn't love the crate yet, as long as there are people nearby she settles after a few minutes, sleeps through the night and keeps her crate clean. She is making good progress with potty training, looking for her reward after she goes outside. She is a pretty smart girl, learning the sit command very quickly. Like any typical puppy her age, she is going through her baby shark phase.

She will need a family who understands the requirements of a puppy and potentially her breed and give her lots of activity, exercise and toys along with patience. She would do well with other energetic dogs who can gently correct her zealous style of play, but she could also be an only dog. She would likely do good with kids (remembering that she is a puppy and will need to learn manners with smaller kids), but has only been tested with teenagers. Overally, she will do best with an active family who can give her long walks or a big backyard to run in and, of course, all the love she deserves.

Adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
