Margot is a 12lb, 4-month-old energetic girl. Her breed is anyone's guess, and she is expected to be a small-to-medium size (25-30lb) when full grown. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.<br/><br/>Before coming to STS, Margot spent a third of her life at the shelter, but that experience hasn't dampened her spirit one bit. She is enthusiastically discovering the outside world, diving headfirst into every new experience. She has shown no fear of new people, other dogs, cats, or even fireworks. Zoomies is her favorite sport, and she loves every toy she meets. She is a very loving puppy who leans her head on your chest, gives gentle kisses, and loves to nap curled up in your lap.<br/><br/>She is making great progress with crate training; though she might whine at first, she settles quickly, sleeps through the night, and keeps her crate clean. She is also doing well with potty training and rarely has accidents when kept on a schedule. She is quite smart and learned the "sit" command very quickly. Like any typical puppy her age, she is going through her baby shark phase.<br/><br/>She will need an active family who understands puppy requirements and can provide lots of activity, exercise, toys, patience, and love. She would do best with a home that offers long walks or a big backyard to run in. She is cat-friendly and would do well as an only dog or with other energetic dogs who can gently guide her enthusiastic play style. She would likely do well with kids—keeping in mind she will need to learn manners around smaller children—though she has only been tested with teenagers so far.<br/><br/>Adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.<br/><br/>STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
