Margo's Story

Meet Margo

Margo is finally safe and beginning to heal, but her story is a heartbreaking one. She was found lying in a roadside ditch under the blazing Texas sun, emaciated, weak, and barely able to lift her head. Someone had discarded her as if she didn’t matter. It was obviously she had been used for making multiple litters of puppies.

Years of neglect have left Margo’s body worn and painful. She suffers from severe hip dysplasia with joint fusion, from old orthopedic injuries. Due to her age and condition, surgery is not an option, but pain management has already brought her noticeable relief and improved her comfort.

Life inside a home is completely new to Margo. Doorways, beds, and air conditioning are unfamiliar. She may hesitate at thresholds or choose the outdoors simply because it’s all she has ever known. With patience and time, we believe she will learn that comfort and safety are finally hers. We estimate Margo to be between 8 – 10 years.

Despite everything she has endured, Margo’s spirit is gentle and loving. She adores people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and longs to belong to a pack of her own. Her body tells a story of being used, abused, and discarded, but her eyes still hold hope.

Margo is currently being fostered by her finder & savior in Duncanville, TX. We are committed to giving her the chance she never had, a life filled with love, dignity, and peace during her golden years. All she needs now is someone willing to open their heart and help rewrite her ending. 💗
