Margarita's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Margarita is a beautiful girl who has bounced back after whelping and raising a litter of equally beautiful puppies. She has been spayed, tested NEGATIVE for heartworms, and is vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find her forever home. She is crate-trained but she really does NOT like being in a crate. Thankfully, she doesn't need to be crated because she is house/potty-trained and trustworthy in the house, with the exception of occasional counter-surfing.

Margarita gets along well with other dogs and is VERY playful, both with dogs AND with toys. It's as if she didn't have time to be a puppy herself because she was busy being a mom, so NOW, she is really enjoying all the things a puppy would enjoy. Though thankfully she hasn't proven to chew the way a puppy does.

As the weather has gotten warmer, we've learned that Margarita loves to swim! She's in our pool almost daily. So an adopter with a pool, or regular trips to the lake or beach would definitely make Margarita happy.

We've taken Margarita into our chicken yard and she did fine with our chickens, so if you have a backyard flock, with proper introductions, you should be able to count on Margarita not to try to turn them into a meal.

If Margarita sounds like the perfect companion for you, please complete the application on our website here.
