Marcus's Story

APPLY ON OUR WEBSITE
www.nadrs.org

Marcus is a male dog, 8 to 10 yrs old approximately - he was a stray dog so age is just an estimate. He weighs approximately 18 pounds. Marcus is not yet neutered, but he is scheduled for the surgery. We also have him scheduled for dental work as he has some dental disease and will need cleaning and extractions too most likely.

Marcus is originally from California. He was picked up as a stray by animal control and brought to one of the overwhelmed shelters there. He was held for the stray hold, but sadly no one came to claim him, which is the fate of many that end up in the shelters. Marcus was then available for rescue as he was not a likely candidate for adoption at the shelter - he had a lot of young, friendly dogs to compete with. Marcus was not doing well in the shelter environment either and we agreed to rescue him and bring him into our care. He spent some time in foster care in California waiting for transport to be arranged.

Marcus is a senior fellow and is quite sweet when you get to know him. He did very well at the vet allowing the vet to handle him and check his teeth etc. Marcus is doing well really well with his new foster mom and with the other dogs and cats in his foster home. He walks well on leash and is not leash reactive.

Marcus is about 90% housebroken, but does still mark in the house. Once he is neutered this should improve.

If you think that you are the person to open your heart and can provide the right loving forever home for our senior boy Marcus please apply on our website www.nadrs.org

We only accept applications on our website.
