Marco's Story

Meet Marco!

Marco is a 6-month-old Cane Corso who has already proven how resilient and loving he is. When he first arrived in rescue, he was extremely underweight, but in his foster home he’s been gaining weight and thriving. Because of his past, Marco is very food motivated, which has made training a great success so far.

Marco is neutered, up to date on vaccines, house trained, and crate trained. He understands that potty time happens outside, though like any dog moving into a new home, he’ll need consistent potty breaks while adjusting to a new routine.

Marco is a big puppy who is still learning about the world. Because of his size and his early experiences, we are recommending a home with children 8 years and older. Very young or loud children can be overwhelming for him.

He does well with other dogs, especially ones that enjoy playful energy. However, due to his size and enthusiastic play style, we recommend no small dogs or cats, as he may chase during play and could accidentally grab them.

Marco loves going on adventures and meeting people. He has been doing excellent on leash with loose-leash walking and has done wonderfully when out in public at stores. He truly believes everyone is his friend!

He is currently learning:
• Sit
• No
• Leave it
• Come
• Off
• “Let’s go” (loose-leash walking cue)

Marco already has a great training foundation and will thrive with a family committed to continuing his training and helping him grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly, and fun young dog who is ready for his forever home, Marco might be the perfect fit for you.

Apply to meet Marco today and give this deserving pup the loving home he’s been waiting for.

If interested in Marco please fill out the adoption application on our website www.muttsinarutrescue.com
