ID 61247783 <br/><br/>Meet Mara! This Shepherd lady of about 3 yrs of age, definitely had a home at one time but sadly, is now a resident at the shelter. Mara sure could use to fill out a bit more, but not too much, as you want to keep her joints healthy and happy as she does like her exercise. She also would love some spa days to shine her coat, and keep it maintained. Mara loves to fetch a ball, and will happily release for a throw of another. She has a dainty way of walking and running, much lighter in her step than many of the bigger Shepherds. <br/><br/>Mara knows sit, takes a treat quite gently, and enjoys hanging with her human friend. She has the typical Shepherd fence perimeter check to let everyone know she is around performing a duty. <br/><br/>One thing about Mara. She does have an eye condition known as Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca, or more simply known as dry eye. This gal will need lifetime eye drops to keep her eyes moist and healthy, along with cleaning them so she can enjoy her adventures, and be able to clearly see the world around her. She so deserves this so we hope she can find that loving home to provide her with what she needs to live a happy life. <br/><br/>She passed her initial dog/dog assessment but will need a meet with any dog in a home. She is a Shepherd so often their goal is more to co exist , be in charge rather than super playful. <br/><br/>She really is a lovely dog that will make a wonderful companion.
