Meet Maple - Our Lovely Golden Girl with a Spark!<br/>Maple is a gentle, loving older lady with a heart full of sweetness and a nose that can find a treat from a mile away! Snacks are absolutely the way to her heart - but she also has a delightful amount of pep and enthusiasm for life.<br/>This beautiful senior girl may have a calm, kind spirit, but don't let her gray hairs fool you - Maple loves to get up and go. She has plenty of energy and enjoys lively walks, exploring the world with a happy tail, and engaging with her people. After her adventures, she's equally content to settle in for cozy naps and soak up affection.<br/>Maple came to us with a mammary tumor that was removed during her stay in our care. While testing showed that it had likely already metastasized, she currently shows no signs of illness. Her expected survival could be two years or more - but even if her time may be somewhat shorter, that only makes it more important that she find her forever home soon, with someone who will cherish her golden days.<br/>Maple is a "Pawspice" adoption, meaning the East Bay SPCA will provide specific ongoing support for her care going forward. Our adoption process is both simple and straightforward, and our goal is to ensure you and your new pet are a good match for one another. In Order to Help Us Find Your Perfect Pet, Please Come Prepared to: Spend adequate time getting to know the animal. Be certain pets are allowed in your home or apartment. Be a responsible pet owner. Be willing to give your new pet a permanent home. Show your Driver’s License, California ID card, or other photo identification (you must be 18 years old). We recommend any and all family members or other members of your household come with you. You are welcome to bring your resident dog to your dog/puppy adoption appointment as our team is available to help introduce them to your potential new adopted dog. Note: We do require that some of our adoptable dogs meet your current canine family members prior to going home.
