Meet Maple Bacon! Maple Bacon is a 2-year-old, 70 lb St. Bernard mix with a heart as big as her paws. She's a confident, affectionate girl who is all about adventure - say the word "car" and she'll do happy feet until it's time to go! Maple has been settling in with her foster beautifully. She loves people, enjoys cuddles, and has a fun playful side - especially when she gets the big-dog zoomies. She knows "sit" and "shake," and she's been doing great with routines and structure. In the home: Dog friendly - plays great with other dogs and enjoys respectful introductions Kid friendly - has done well with a 4-year-old once she got used to the noise and silly antics Cats: needs work/management - she has started to stalk the resident cat, but redirects well; she should not be left unsupervised around cats at this time Resource guarding (mild) - may guard her empty food bowl or shared water bowl from other pets (not people). This has been manageable with supervision and simple routines. Maple Bacon is truly a wonderful dog - loyal, fun, and full of personality - and she's going to make an amazing best friend for the right home.

We do not focus on one definition of a perfect home and instead focus on finding the best home for that particular dogs needs. Some dogs may require homes with fences, other dogs, children etc. while others do not. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed, are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are.
