Maple's Story

Found in New Mexico with her siblings and her Airedale Terrier–mix mom, Maple arrived at LOLA'S in late April 2024. Since then, she has blossomed into a sweet, joyful, and wonderfully quirky girl who loves making new canine friends. She adores her toys, happily shares, and greets every meal with tail-wagging excitement. While she may do best being fed separately as she settles into a new home—depending on the personalities of other dogs—she has shared treats, bones, and rawhides in her foster home without any trouble. She is also well on her way to being fully housetrained.

Maple will need a securely fenced yard, as she's still gaining confidence on a leash. She has made great progress and can walk in short spurts, but she's not built for long walks or jogs and prefers having her own safe space for potty breaks. She's generally quiet and doesn't bark unnecessarily, but she will happily speak up when she needs something.

Maple gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and is curious and friendly toward cats as well. She tends to form a special bond with one person, but with patience and kindness, she opens up to others and shows her affectionate side. She enjoys the comfort of having her favorite human nearby without being overly clingy. At night, she sleeps contentedly in her puppy pen, and during the day, she loves cozy naps and snuggles on the couch or bed. She also enjoys food puzzles and playful activities that keep her engaged and happy.

Adopting an animal through L.O.L.A.'S Rescue means saving a life. We are concentrated on adopting animals at risk of euthanasia from High Kill Shelters and over population situations. We are dedicated to matching the right pet with the right home. The added advantage to being a foster concentrated organization is that we get to spend extra time with our animals to learn their special needs, we will always be 100% honest with you about the animal you are thinking of adopting, we will always try and match you with the pet that best fits your needs. Please understand that even though we do our best to asses every animal, changing situations can mean changing behaviors. The first step to adopting a animal is to let us know more about you and what you are looking for. Please visit our website at www.lolasrescue.com or email us at
