Meet Maple - the wonderful sweet boxer girlie who is on her healing journey!<br/><br/>Here is what her foster family has to say: <br/>This wonderful senior girl has been with us since the third week in March, when she came from a rough situation.<br/><br/>Maple has adjusted very well to life as a house dog. She uses the dog door reliably now and has developed enough independence to spend time on the patio or the pool deck, soaking up sun. She is cheerful and happy, with periods of bounding around the yard or in the house, and she loves being part of the pack in our home, which includes two other dogs who just happen to be her age-13 years old. She visits nicely with our resident cats on the other side of a gate, and although she does not have free access to the cats I believe she would live in harmony with them provided introductions were properly managed.<br/><br/>She has had several veterinary appointments during her journey back to health; both vet techs and vets at Hearts Alive Village say she is a model patient to work on.<br/> <br/>Maple would be an excellent companion for someone in a quiet, low-key environment who is home a lot. She especially loves to be included in all outdoor projects-everything from feeding birds to yard wok to gardening-is an outstanding car traveler, and follows her people from room to room in the house. She's been great with our two resident dogs, a Doberman and an Australian cattle dog mix. She sleeps quietly through the night in an open-topped puppy playpen; a crate was simply too frightening<br/>for her so we can't say she is crate trained nor do we recommend crating for this girl."<br/><br/>Maple so desperately deserves her happily ever after.
