Meet Maple

Maple has found her forever home with Jennifer and her family in Scituate!

Adoption Coordinator: Carol
Adoption Fee: Waived for the right home

Maple is 2.5 years old and weighs 43 lbs. She is a pretty little girl who had a rough start in life. She came into rescue after she was dumped on a back road in TN with a male dog. Maple is very shy and timid, and is easily frightened by new situations and noises. She is not aggressive, but needs an experienced owner who is patient and understands it will take some time for her to be comfortable in a new home. She may never overcome all of her fears, but does become more comfortable with family and consistency. Maple is more confident with another dog and enjoys going on quiet walks and will want to play once she settles. She will only go outside on leash. She will do best in a home on the quiet side, without young children and a lot of activity and scary noises. She is not a city or apartment dog. We are looking for a home with a young, playful (not high energy or pushy), confident dog to help teach Maple how wonderful life can be and people who are home more often than not. Dog parks and daycare are too overwhelming for her right now. Maple is crate, potty and leash trained and will give her heart in time to the right home. She has not been cat tested.

If you have the right home for Maple, please read more about our rescue and process on our website www.foreverhomerescue.org. The first step in our process is to complete an application on our website. Approved applicants can meet her by appointment with her foster.

Please complete an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescue's name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom. STOP! If you have not been notified of your approval status do not make a deposit.
