Manny's Story

When we first saw Manny on the rescue plea from our friends down in Georgia, we were like, who is this absolute beefcake and when can we meet him? We pulled Manny to keep him safe as the shelter started to fill up.

Manny is a big goofball with a lot of leftover puppy energy-- and puppy manners. He'll definitely need some basic training to help him reach his full potential. He's super eager to learn and responds to commands well, especially with a treat in hand. When he gets let outside in the morning, he's just so happy to be out of his kennel that he zooms around the outdoor run. And just look at that face! So expressive and earnest.

At his previous shelter, Manny did well with select other dogs. Here, he's shown a bit of overexcitement and reactivity to other dogs. It would be best for him to be the only dog in the household. We would recommend older kids only for this guy, since he can be a bit of a bulldozer when he gets excited!

Manny is just a total loverboy with a big heart. We know that big, rowdy pitties aren't for everyone, but we also KNOW that Manny is someone's dream dog. He just needs an adopter that's going to mentor him and advocate for him, so he can be the best pup he possibly can!
