Mannee

Mannee was surrendered to the shelter for re-homing at the end of Sept 2011. According to his owners, he's a 3 year old male who is house trained and very good with kids. He has longer hair so willl require some grooming and regular brushing to keep his mats under control. Mannee went into foster care shortly after being turned into the shelter - here's what his foster mom says about him after a few days at her home. "He is very sweet and calm. He loves walks and is good on them but pulls a bit. He absolutely loves off leash walks and doesn't go too far and comes back when called. He is well housebroken and whines to be let out. He knows sit, stay, laydown, shake other paw, and speak. He listens well when told out, come, or off. He doesn't like to be brushed much. He gets along well with my 7 year old daughter. He is the most expressive dog i've ever met. He cocks his head from side to side when i talk to him. He loves belly rubs. He is over all a very, very sweet and very polite dog however he can be a bit choosy when it comes to big dogs, so if you're interested in adoption of Mannee and already have a dog it would be a good idea to have them meet prior to any adoption. He does like dogs his own size or smaller and enjoys playing with puppies. Foster mom says: "He attended a dog obedience class with my 7 year old daughter and he did extremely well. He would do very well attending obedience classes or canine 4-H however I don't think it is overall necessary as he is pretty well trained as it is." Mannee had to come back to the shelter mid-March 2012 as his foster mom could no longer keep him after so long in her home.<P> <br/><br/>Our dog adoption fee is $160 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip.
