Mango's Story

Some of us like to talk a big game about exercising regularly, getting our steps in and maybe even going for long hikes. But we're just talking the talk. What we really wanna do is stay home and pet our dog.

Well, guess what? Dreams can come true. You can have all of this lifestyle, including the dog part, if you adopt Mango. He'll listen to you talk all about the activities you *could* be doing, and he'll be just as happy to stay put and let you pet him all you want.

Mango is a 2-year-old sweet boy who weighs about 65 pounds, and he likes a walk and does great on a leash. But he's not gonna initiate any kind of big physical activity, and he's definitely not gonna force it. So, lazy dog walkers, unite!

Mango is super gentle and a bit timid, and all he wants is some love and affection. Maybe a scratch ahhhh right there, and maybe some nice pets, and he'll be a really happy dude. And you'll be feeling better than before you petted him. He'll cuddle right in with you, and nothing bad can ever come of it.

The only time you might see Mango get serious about expending energy is when there is a stuffie toy anywhere within a 50-foot radius of him. That stuffie must die! And it must die now. So, all of your stuffie enemies will be kept at bay, and Mango would love for you to reward him with a Kong or a treat puzzle. Seems more than fair.

He gets along fine with people and with other dogs. He might take a bit to warm up, because he's such a polite dude who doesn't want to overwhelm anyone with his kindness. But then, he'll fit right in with the flow and be a part of the crew. At night, he sleeps soundly in bed with his person(s). Mango is house trained, and he's crate trained - though he can be left out of the crate once he's comfortable in the home, and he does just fine.

Mango is the perfect guy to fit in, whether you want to go DO the big game or just talk the big game. He sees it all as a win-win when he's with his favorite peeps. The real winner is you, though, if you decide to adopt him

Mango is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up-to-date on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $175. To meet him, get approved to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org

Pawsitive Tails's Adoption Policy
Pawsitive Tails is dedicated to matching the needs and personality of our dogs with your family. We are not in a hurry to adopt out our dogs; we want to make sure the match is perfect for everyone. All of the dogs in our rescue live in foster homes with both the human and furry members of our families. Our adoption process begins with an application which can be found under the "adopt" tab on our website, www.pawsitivetailskc.org. Please complete the form in full; the questions we ask help us to fully understand what type of dog you are looking for, and to make sure you get the very best fit. Incomplete applications will not be processed. If you do not include a vet phone number, a landlord phone number (if applicable), or 3 complete references, we cannot process your application. We will contact your Veterinarian, so please make sure to call them to release your vet history to our volunteer. &nbs
