Mamma Dog/Snow White's Story
Meet Snow White/Mamma Dog!

***Foster Update:
Update with Snow White (we are still experimenting with nicknames, but the ones that have landed most consistently so far are snowy/snow):
- She loves people! She wants to introduce herself to everybody on walks and is super friendly. Does not react aggressively at all with people of all sizes and ages. Same with dogs!
- We went on two walks today. The first morning walk was a loop around drake park. She got tired towards the end of it and just laid down in some shady grass - Andrew had to carry her home part of the way! Evening walk was near downtown where we live. She is a great on a walk. She LOVES sniffing, which is the only time she pulls on the leash.
- We have left her alone at the house a couple of times today and decided to leave her in her crate. She seemed hesitant at first to go in, but we warmed her up with some treats and left her with her bone. Upon arrival, she whined a little bit, but was found laying down in her crate until we opened it up. After a few times in the crate, she was chill, so she's getting used to it. At first, she was a bit more whiny. We only heard her bark when we first came home, and then we also heard her bark over our front door ring camera when a neighbor walked by.
- Water and food and treats are all normal. And she's gotten comfy to take some naps and lounge (she's a snorer!)
- Despite multiple walks and times to go out, she has not yet peed or popped today with us, which we were a little concerned about. Our guess is she is just acclimating to the new environment and might be a little stressed. Let's hope she goes tomorrow morning when we let her out - we will update here if that happens!

Overall, she is super chill and we love her. We are so happy with her as our first foster experience

Thanks to our amazing friends at Dog Is My Copilot, 44 lucky dogs and cats have officially arrived safely in Bend, Oregon after making the long journey all the way from Norman, Oklahoma. This special transport included 22 cats and kittens and 22 adult dogs and puppies, each one now getting the opportunity for the fresh start they've been waiting for. While their journeys may have begun differently, they all share the same dream-to be loved, cherished, and finally welcomed into families they can call their own.

Over the coming days, our newest arrivals will be settling into temporary foster homes and moving through the various stages of our medical, foster, and adoption processes. Some are still completing their wellness exams, further vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and other medical requirements before they'll be ready to head home. In the meantime, we've created General Interest Lists for each of our new arrivals! If you see a dog or cat that captures your heart, don't wait to submit your adoption application through our website. Becoming a pre-approved adopter is the best way to be considered as these wonderful animals become available. Because we're often working with dozens of new and existing adopters every day, interest lists can fill quickly, and an animal's adoption status can change almost overnight. Whether you're ready to adopt, foster, volunteer, or simply share this post, you're helping make stories like these possible.

Please join us in giving these amazing dogs and cats a warm Pacific Northwest welcome. We can't wait to introduce you to each of them and help them find the loving homes they've been waiting for.

Will you be this pup's lucky hero?

PupFax: Snow White/Mamma Dog
Adoption Status: Cleared
Medical Clearance: Yes
Medical Status: Cleared
Location: Bend, OR
Rescue Intake Type: Rescue - Domestic/Norman, OK
At-a-Glance Stats
Breed: Mixed Breed
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Vaccinations: Up to date
Microchipped: Yes
(Each adoption includes their wellness check, vaccinations (core shots), microchip and spay/neuter, which will be done before we can send them home with their adopter.)
Home & Lifestyle Fit -
People: Good
Dogs: Good
Kids: Good
Cats: Unknown
Activity Level: Loves to go on short walks, but is also down to just lounge on the couch
Training & Manners
House/Potty Trained: Yes
Crate Trained: No (has been exposed to it though)
Leash Skills: Good at getting untangled from leash, but does pull sometimes when wanting to sniff something.
