Meet Mama Journey — a true NANNY DOG. Children are her one true love and passion!<br/><br/>Mama Journey is a happy, vibrant, and family-loving BLUE Pit Bull. She is 6 years old and weighs 60 lbs. When she is not being bossed around by the 5 lb. chihuahuas of the house, she is happily adoring all the kiddos she meets. Children are her life, and she dreams of a home full of kids and fun. She is extremely sweet natured - and has no reactivity to dogs even when they deserve it (LOL). Mama Journey will do well in a home with smaller dogs - we do not recommend big dogs for her as she has an old leg injury and we do not want a larger dog to accidentally hurt her. <br/><br/>Prior to entering our rescue, she was a backyard breeding dog and has a few scars on her body. She also has an old leg/hip injury which causes inflammation and limping but this does not slow her down. Therefore, she will do best with low- energy dogs and kids who will not fall on her or climb on her. <br/>She is the perfect pet for someone seeking a well-balanced dog with periods of activity and sofa snuggling. She has spurts of youthful play energy with balls and ropes... but loves to just chill next to her favorite people as well. <br/> is perfectly crate trained, house broken and leash trained.<br/><br/>Mama Journey has impeccable manners, is perfectly house trained and ready for a most loving family. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting.<br/><br/>We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Mama Journey the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. <br/><br/>Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses.<br/><br/>All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.<br/><br/>Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
