Mama's Story

Mama Is Ready for Her Forever Home #AdoptMama

Mama has only been with us 10 days, but sometimes that’s all it takes to know when a dog is ready to move on to the next chapter of her life. Mama has settled in beautifully, and it’s clear she’s waiting for her people.

She’s about 1½ years old, a petite Husky mix at around 30 lbs, with room to fill out just a little more. She came to us from California, where she was found as a stray and ended up in a high-kill shelter with her babies. Despite that rough start, Mama’s spirit is light, playful, and full of love.

Mama is the kind of dog who:
• Brings happy, playful energy into a room
• Loves to cuddle just as much as she loves to play
• Is excellent in her crate
• Is fully house-trained (not one accident!)
• Thinks toys are amazing… especially for destroying

She would do best in a home with another active dog, someone who can match her energy and help her continue learning how to share and socialize. She’s still figuring some things out...and honestly, after everything she’s been through, that’s more than understandable. We also believe Mama would be wonderful with kids of all ages.

Mama is up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed tomorrow, so she’s truly ready to start her forever life.

This sweet girl has done her job.
