Mallory's Story
Location: Monticello, MN

Mallory is a very sweet dog who is house-, kennel- (with treat), and potty-trained. She prefers not to be in the kennel but is quiet during the day when in there as long as she knows you're not in the house, otherwise she will whine. She seeks attention when outside the kennel & wants to be where you are but if you're busy and need to ignore her she will go lay down somewhere and be chill. She is good on the leash but does a little bit of pulling and will get distracted by other animals, doesn't usually bark unless unknown people come to the house or at other dogs she can't sniff out, jumps on you when excited & wants to play or get your attention, play bites & nips at clothes for attention, loves squeaky toys and playing in the snow, enjoys going on walks or hikes through the woods, watches animals on TV, and absolutely loves belly rubs and petting. She knows the command "sit" and "lay down". Training her to stay out of the kitchen is a definite must. She has not shown to be destructive nor aggressive, does well with the kids in her foster home as young as 8, and sleeps well in the kennel. It's recommended she have a slower intro to other dogs. She is trainable and other basic obedience training is necessary. Mallory would do best as the only pet in the house as she prefers the attention to herself as the center of her owner's world.

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
