Malina's Story
Malina is a 5-year-old, 13 lb Xolotizcuintli mix with a soft heart and an even softer spot for her people. She’s the definition of a velcro dog -- once she bonds with you, she wants to be right by your side (or preferably in your lap).

She can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you, Malina warms up quickly and soon turns into a sweet shadow who happily trots over for pets, affection, and reassurance. Once she knows you’re safe, her loving personality shines.

Malina does well with both dogs and cats and is polite and calm around them. While she enjoys toys and will entertain herself, she’s more low-key than playful and hasn’t shown much interest in roughhousing with other dogs. She’d be perfect for a relaxed household that appreciates a quieter companion.

She is crate-trained and currently working on house-training. She’s comfortable using potty pads as well. And when it comes to motivation? Malina’s heart is easily won with food and treats: this girl loves to eat. Malina REQUIRES a fenced in yard.

Malina would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands she may need a moment to feel safe, but once she does, you’ll have a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close.

If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted dog who will stick to you like glue, Malina is ready to find her person.

To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.
