We do a background check, vet check, and call the references the potential adopter has given us. Call the landlord if a potential adopter rents. There’s an adoption fee unless the bio says it’s waived, as well as a home check or virtual home visit. We can do out-of-state adoptions. If you currently have a dog and are applying for a dog who is with us, a meet and greet is also required.
