Maizy's Story
Meet sweet Maizy. She's 1 1/2 year old (approx), Shepard mix who was shutdown in the shelter. We pulled her to help her gain back her confidence under the guidance of two of our excellent fosters.
She's been with us for some time, not ready to seek her forever home, as we helped her understand that not all humans were bad.
She is on a low dose of doggy Prozac which has helped her. She's coming out of her shell nicely, particularly when other pups are around.
She's healthy and now ready for her home.
Her best home would be with people who are patient, have time to give her the space she needs to trust, and help her continue to move forward. Having another pup in the house is a MUST for this young lady to help her acclimate quicker and have a happy, confidence-filled life.
She's not a large pup, weighing in at about 40lbs. She will be forever grateful to her new family for saving her!
**Please note that the special needs box was checked due to her shyness and need for patience
***adoptable only within New Hanover and surrounding counties
