Maizee

Maizee is a 3-year-old, 40 lb girl who is possibly a Catahoula mix with the sweetest, most gentle soul. She's a shy pup who had a rough start-after roaming the streets for some time, a caring group stepped in and brought her to safety with us. Maizee has a nervous temperament but has shown no aggression toward children. In fact, she was happier to gently approach a child than to come up to the adults. She's tender-hearted, observant, and quietly affectionate once she begins to feel safe. She's still learning that the world isn't such a scary place and just needs patience, reassurance, and love to help her build confidence and learn that simply existing is not a bad thing. Maizee is also new to leash walking and would much rather be carried (LOL!), but with time, consistency, and gentle guidance, she will continue to grow. Maizee is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative, and she would thrive in a calm, understanding home willing to go at her pace and show her what safety and love truly feel like. Watching her confidence blossom will be incredibly rewarding
