Meet MAIYA <br/><br/>Do you have a sweet spot for seniors? Maybe you've been looking for a companion for yourself - or for a parent or grandparent - to give them a reason to embrace each day and feel needed.<br/><br/>Maiya is the sweetest little 15-year-old, 15-pound Mini Schnauzer who just adores being near you. This precious senior came to us when her owner passed. Although a little fluffy and in need of a dental (she's getting that on 4/19), she would love to spend her days doing whatever it is you're doing - as long as she gets to be with you.<br/><br/>And her ears... the way they flap when she hurries to be where you are - just the cutest. <br/><br/>She was housetrained at one time and still does her best to give you a minute to get her outside, but as with any aging senior, accidents can happen. If she has access to a potty pad, she will use that too.<br/><br/>Maiya co-exists with other dogs who respect her personal bubble. She will correct the young whipper-snappers if they try to get in her bed or take her food.<br/><br/>She's not asking for much - just a soft place, a gentle routine, and someone to love.<br/><br/>Seniors like Maiya don't need forever - they just need love for the time they have.
