Maisy climbed under our fence and found us. Her adorable crooked smile immediately won us over! She was microchipped and we contacted her owner. He asked to surrender her because she had escaped his yard multiple times and he had a new job that didn’t give him time to care for her. Considering her condition and behavior surrounding food, she likely had escaped a bad situation. <br/><br/>She has no health problems, is heart worm negative, and is a healthy weight at 13 lbs. Maisy has a good disposition and a sweet heart, but needs some patient, loving work with food and resource guarding in certain situations. She spent a week with a dog sitter, her 8 dogs, and cat and had no issues with behavior or resource guarding. This had lead us to believe her issues may be mostly environment-related. Otherwise she is a happy, playful girl! <br/><br/>She loves belly rubs, going for car rides, and just being with her people. Maisy is a wonderful little companion pup!
