Maia's Story

Meet Maia!

Maia was named after a shy, beautiful Greek goddess who was associated with motherhood and growth. This Dachshund embodies all of this in her personality. Maia is a short haired dachshund and approximately two years old (2/16/24). Her and her litter of pups were off to a rough start a short while back but things are looking up for the girl now. She was very scared and nervous of everything the first day here with her foster mom. Everyday since then she has gained courage and shown her sweet personality. Through all the changes she has endured she has never shown any signs of aggression and has always been a good girl. She is getting along with a puppy and a large adult dog. She has also been living with cats and kids. She is potty trained and has not had any accidents. She is also kennel trained. She currently protests the idea of walking on a leash but could get used to it with more training. She is kind, quiet, well mannered and her foster momma thinks she is a perfect dog. This sweet girl deserves a great home and family to grow old with. She has been spayed, has tested negative for heartworm and is up to date with her core vaccines and preventions. So if you want to come home to an adorable Dachshund wagging her tail and excited to see you, then Maia is the dog for you!

To meet Maia, please head to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application today!

Maia's minimum adoption donation is $300 payable via Venmo, PayPal ($10 fee added), or Cash.
