She’s low-key, cuddly, and perfectly content to spend her day lounging on the couch with you.<br/><br/>Magic can be shy at first, but give her a little patience, some gentle baby talk, and a few treats, and you’ll start to see her sweet personality come out. She takes treats like a lady, knows “sit,” enjoys full-body pets, and is wonderfully calm on walks. She’s even been known to ignore squirrels without so much as a chase!<br/><br/>She’s also exceptionally quiet and a great car rider. <br/><br/>Magic is still building confidence with stairs and new people, so she’ll need a patient family willing to let her settle in at her own pace. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment. People visiting the shelter in person or viewing animals on our website will note that all of our dogs are labeled as Mixed Breeds unless they have been DNA tested or are surrendered to the shelter with paperwork. Any potential breeds listed here on PetFinder are not assumed to be accurate and are merely a starting point for people to be able to search for a dog who may visually resemble a breed they are interested in. We feel that the best matches are made based on a dogs individual personality and recommend families come meet our animals in person. Please reach out with any questions!
