-Maggie May in Maine's Story

MEET Maggie May in Maine!
We are cross-posting this gorgeous senior lady for our friends at @Kennebec Valley Humane Society in Augusta, Maine.
Maggie May is a spayed female boxer mix who is medium sized and 7 years old. She is an energetic and affectionate girl who asks to be the only four-legged animal for her people to fawn over. She loves the car, going for walks and meeting new friends. She is house-broken.
She is looking for a home with people 15 and up because she can show her excitement with her mouth at times and this girl has a passion for life. In her previous home, she had an accident that has left her with some mobility issues. When we say issues, we don't mean that she can't move; she is just as busy as when she was a young dog, but the way she moves just looks different now. We are treating her for discomfort surrounding her previous injury with joint supplements and a medication called carprofen which our vet recommends that she continue after adoption. She does well on a leash and doesn’t pull but can sometimes be unsteady on her feet.
If you are interested in meeting Maggie May, please stop by for some snuggles and butt wiggles.
IMPORTANT: If you have any questions about her or want to pay her a visit, please reach out directly to the shelter.
