Maggie May's Story
Maggie May is a sweet little 6-year-old, 7-pound Maltese who is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can finally relax and enjoy the good life.

Maggie came to Dogworks after being surrendered to a shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. It took her a little time to adjust to her new surroundings, but once she feels comfortable, this little girl is incredibly loving and sweet.

Maggie is very shy when she first meets people, but she warms up quickly. She loves being around her people and is happiest simply hanging out and doing what she does best—sleeping! She is very laid-back, quiet, gentle, and pretty much minds her own business. She does well with other dogs and doesn’t bother them.

Maggie already knows sit, stay, and come, listens well to direction, and responds appropriately to verbal correction. She is not a runner and tends to stay very close to her person. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but it isn’t required as long as she is always supervised outside.

She is doing well with potty training and has very few accidents. She has had an occasional poop accident, so her new family will need to give her a little patience while she gets completely settled into her new routine.

Maggie can be a little nervous in unfamiliar situations and may shake when she’s afraid. She really just needs someone who will give her the time and patience to feel safe. Once she knows she can trust you, you’ll see what a sweet, loving little girl she really is.

Maggie May is looking for:
A calm, loving home
She would be happy with another dog
Someone patient who will let her come out of her shell
A fenced yard is nice but not required
A home with children or cats would need to be considered on an individual basis

Maggie May doesn’t need anything fancy. She just needs someone who will love her, keep her safe, and let her spend her days surrounded by the people she loves. And honestly... isn’t that what every little dog deserves?

She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is $350.

Please follow the link below for the adoption application.
