Maggie May's Story

Have you ever seen more perfect ears in all your life?!

Maggie May is approximately 10 months old, spayed, and up to date on all medical.

Her ears look perfect, but we can’t decide if she’s partially deaf, or just hasn’t figured out how to use them yet. What we do know is this little booger will steal your heart (and anything else you leave lying around) all day long. She’s smart as a whip, and extremely food motivated, which helps in training. However due to lack of hearing she will need someone willing to put in a lot of time with training. We will also require adopters to have a fenced yard, and be willing to train with the recommended e-collar. Recall is not possible without it.

Maggie loves pretty much everyone she comes into contact with. She currently lives with 2 adult humans, one 6 year old human (a clear favorite) 2 Doberman boys. And an old man chihuahua and gets along with everyone wonderfully. She has been cat tested and shows initial curiosity, responded well to a quick correction from the cat, and decided she was best off just giving them some space.

At 10 months old she is very active and requires a lot exercise. She will need someone devoted to continued training for her to thrive.

Currently she is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands with hand signals. She loves to play fetch, wrestle with her dog friends, and run around the yard like the goofiest of goofballs. She loves her 6 year old human foster brother, but would be a little much for smaller kiddos. She is extremely athletic, we could definitely see her thriving in agility competitions.

Once all of her energy is out she loves nothing more than to cuddle with her person and be fawned over. She is very sweet and affectionate, loves to snuggle and be treated like the princess she is.

She would do great in an ASL family as well, as her training will be signal based.
