Maggie's Story
Four Months. Zero Applications. Zero Interest.

We honestly don't understand.

For over four months, Maggie has been waiting patiently for someone to see what we see every day-a sweet, loving young dog who deserves a family of her own.

At just about a year old and 25 pounds, Maggie is still very much a puppy at heart. She has the cutest little Dachshund mix body, a love for toys that knows no bounds, and a playful spirit that's impossible not to smile at. But somehow, week after week, her adoption post keeps getting passed by.

Maybe it's because Maggie is a little shy when she first meets new people. She won't immediately jump into your lap and demand attention. Instead, she takes a moment to make sure you're safe. But once she trusts you? Everything changes.

The timid girl disappears, and out comes the goofy, toy-loving, zoomie-powered best friend she's always meant to be.

Maggie would love a canine companion to play with and help build her confidence. She thrives on friendship, companionship, and being part of the fun.

She is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, but please don't let that stop you from considering her. Her rescue is covering her treatment costs-all Maggie needs is a family willing to stand beside her while she heals.

Every day that passes is another day Maggie watches other dogs find homes while she waits. We know her person is out there. We know there's a family looking for a dog just like her.

Could that family be yours?

Currently adoptable within the DFW area so she can continue her heartworm treatment.

Please share Maggie's story. Sometimes all it takes is one share to change a life.
