While I adore being close to my humans and will look to you for guidance and reassurance, exploring the great outdoors is still a journey we're working on together. Because I didn't get much early exposure to different environments, I can sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed on walks, benefiting from slow introductions to new sights and sounds. We've found that using a gentle lead, paired with a confident leader to guide me with "leave it" commands, tasty treats, and lots of praise, really helps me to feel more secure. Right now, I tend to feel most comfortable pottying in a home with a yard, but we are making great progress every day in building my confidence in various outdoor settings. The good news is I grew up with small children and was told I was very gentle and loving with them, so I could be a wonderful family dog.<br/><br/>My adoption fee is $250, this fee covers my first year of vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip.
