Maggie's Story

Maggie is a beautiful, sweet 4-month-old puppy. Weighing in a 35.5 lbs. at her most recent vet visit (8/30), she's getting big!

Maggie is what you would call a very good dog. She gets along well with other dogs, doesn't seem to bother the cats, and loves kids of all ages! She's currently fostered in a house that sometimes has 5 kids, ranging from 2.5 to 12! She enjoys playing tug of war and fetch, with the occasional cuddly nap with a human.

It's important to note that Maggie is deaf, or mostly deaf. However, she does respond to the hand signal for "sit". If your house is a little loud, she won't be bothered, and she'll keep napping!

Maggie is working on crate training She easily goes in her kennel for a peanut butter Kong! She'll even spend the night in her crate with minimal fuss, sleeping from about 8:00PM to 7:00AM.

We've been working on house training with Maggie. She's big enough to jump on the counter (so watch those stray plates!) and smart enough to sit on a chair (and wait patiently for her lunch too). Maggie sometimes takes her meals to go, so a heavy bowl or something with a more permanent fixture would be good for her.

Maggie genuinely has the sweetest disposition. She loves to get all the pets, get along with everyone she meets, and will greet you at the door with a kiss. Maggie would be a great addition to any family!
