Maggie 's Story

Meet Maggie – A Gentle Soul Learning to Shine!

Maggie is a beautiful 10-month-old pittie mix with a stunning brindle coat and the softest, most soulful eyes. At about 45 pounds, she may be a petite girl—but her heart is huge!

Maggie didn’t have the easiest start in life. Because of that, she’s a bit shy and sensitive, and the world can feel overwhelming at times. She’s still building confidence and learning what it means to feel safe in a routine. But beneath that timid exterior is an incredibly sweet, loving puppy who wants to connect—she just needs a patient person to guide her.

Maggie absolutely thrives with other dogs—they are her comfort, her confidence, and her guides. She plays well with dogs of all sizes, and having a confident canine companion isn’t just ideal for Maggie—it’s essential. With another dog by her side, her personality truly begins to blossom. She is never aggressive—just reserved until she feels secure.

When she’s unsure, Maggie looks to her humans for reassurance, showing just how much she wants to trust and bond. Once that trust is built, she becomes deeply loyal and affectionate—a truly gentle companion.

Maggie does best with structure and consistency. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is house trained when kept on a regular routine. She will need continued support with leash skills and basic training as she gains confidence in new situations. A fenced-in yard will be important to help her safely continue that progress.

Maggie will need a patient, understanding adopter who will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way. In return, you’ll gain one of the most devoted, gentle companions you could ever ask for.

We believe Maggie could do well with cats with proper introductions. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will go home with a health certificate prior to adoption.

Maggie is truly a special girl—a little shy, full of love, and just waiting for the right home to help her shine.

Apply to adopt:
https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application
