Maggie's Story

? Miss Maggie is back with us—and we’re more ready than ever to find her perfect match! ?

While we never want to see one of our pups returned, we’re grateful to have learned so much more about Maggie during her time in a home. This new information will help us place her in exactly the right environment where she can feel safe, loved, and understood.

? What We’ve Learned About Maggie:
• Separation anxiety? Not so bad after all! Despite our initial concerns, Maggie proved she is not destructive when left alone. She may whimper for a minute, but she settles quickly and relaxes.
• Fully housebroken. Not a single accident in the home—this girl knows her manners!
• Strangers can be overwhelming. New people, especially men with beards, are very scary for her. Maggie needs a calm home with limited interactions with unfamiliar visitors so she can feel secure.
• No other dogs, period. Maggie is extremely reactive to other dogs and cannot be walked or placed near them. She will do everything she can to reach another dog in a way that is not friendly. For her safety and others’, she must be the only pet in a low-traffic area.
• Health updates: Maggie has been doing wonderfully on her diet, and we’re in the process of determining whether her sensitivities are caused by food allergies or environmental allergies.

? Who She Needs:
Maggie is looking for a patient, committed adopter who can give her structure, predictability, and a peaceful home environment. Someone who understands her quirks, respects her boundaries, and wants to help her thrive. In the right home, Maggie will absolutely shine.

If you think you might be that special someone for Miss Maggie, please reach out—we’d love to tell you more about her and help her find the safe, loving future she deserves. ??

Maggie is a very special girl with a few extra needs:
She has severe allergies, so she’s on a strict prescription diet (no treats or extras!) and may need to stay on it for life.
She has separation anxiety and doesn’t like being left alone—she’ll “sing” and bark to let you know.
She needs to be the only pet in the home.

But here’s the good stuff:
Maggie LOVES people (she’ll greet you loudly but only because she’s excited).
She gives the best hugs and snuggles.
At just 2 years old, she’s still young, goofy, and full of love to give.

Maggie is looking for an experienced dog owner who’s ready to take on her medical and emotional needs. In return, she’ll reward you with endless affection and loyalty. ???

Could you be the hero Maggie’s been waiting for?
