Help us name her!

(Sacramento, CA)

Meet “Maggie.” Well, the miniature alien woodland creature formerly known as Maggie. She is part Wolverine, part baby warthog (see photos), and 100% a tiny love bug. She and Harvey came to us after being rescued from a 25 dog inbreeding hoard. The two are currently on a trial separation to identify whether they're bonded. We don't believe they are, but we are learning so much about them in the process.

This little long eyebrow queen is very sweet. Despite being told that she's had zero human contact before rescue, she is eager and so interested in learning what love is supposed to feel like. She is just 4lbs, and we're pretty sure her back Mohawk and eyebrows make up half her weight. She is doing very well with beginning house training. She is receptive to the idea that cats don't like to be shouted at, and she is very interested in being a patient friend to dogs her size. (She kissed her foster brother's face this morning.) She has a wee howl when she is displeased, and a tiny little “ARF!” bark.

Such a unique creature is proving difficult to name. Here are a few we've tried on: Maggie, Olivia, Kimmy Gibler, Darla, Molly, Margot, toasty enchilada and more. Nothing is right! Can you help us name her? We'd be so grateful for your help finding her name, in part because though she's 6 years old, she's never had one.

Maggie is not yet available for adoption. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, but she needs a dental next. Due to her size, she will have to wait 7 more weeks to undergo anesthesia again. TBD on her status. Any interested applicants are welcome to apply. She'll require an experienced adopter and a no small child family.

Find our adoption application here: https://www.gunterslegacy.org/adopt
