MAGGIE's Story
300 DAYS!

It has now been 300 days that Maggie has been searching for a forever home. You may ask why, it's simple, she growls in the house. That's it. Outside of the home she is an easy going girl. Anyone can pet her, she is great on the leash, she likes other dogs, just very easy. For some reason, being in a house with the same people she just let pet her outside, she will sometimes growl at them. Mostly men. For example in her foster home she follows the husband around and will growl at him. It's almost like her protection blanket. She feels safe if she makes the noise. If he is sitting on the couch does she come up and boop against him for rubs? Yup, but if he gets up to go to the kitchen, will she growl under her breath? Yup. She tends to warm up quickly and bond with women faster and no growling. She was in a temporary foster when her current foster had surgery. That foster was a single female with two dogs and she had a fabulous time. She played with the dogs and loved the foster. What about when strangers came to the house, she growled. Does she stop after a bit and just hang out if you ignore her? Absolutely. Will it take time and an understanding home? Yes. Does she deserve a forever family who enjoys her silly, happy ,wiggly self? 100%. 300 days is far too long, let's find her that perfect fit. Please share her story with anyone you know that might like a funny, goofy girl that loves playing, all her toys, and sunbathing.
