Magenta is a 4-year-old, 16-pound pup who thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She’s crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and does especially well with other dogs. When it’s time for a walk or a meal, her excitement comes out in the best way.<br/><br/>Magenta is not a fit for every home. She can be wary of strangers, especially men. Because of this, she’ll need an experienced, patient owner who understands dog behavior and is committed to continuing her progress. A home without children or cats is important for her success.<br/><br/>What Magenta really needs is someone who values a slower pace and is willing to build trust over time. In the right home, she has a lot to give. She’s loyal, low-key, and looking for a person who will meet her where she is and help her feel safe.<br/><br/>Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. <br/><br/>Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. <br/><br/>Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog.
