Maeve's Story

GUESS WHO IS ADOPTION READY.. MISS MAEVE!

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Transport up & down East Coast of US

Maeve, 2 years old, Australian Cattle Dog
Spayed and fully vetted

First things first Maeve is a high energy pup! This girl is all about FUN, adventures, swimming and zoomies. Her absolute favorite things in the world are hoses and sprinklers.. as seen in the pictures. If youre a family that likes to explore the great outdoors Maeve would love to meet you.

She recently went through a board and train (thanks to her foster!!) to fine tune her manners. She is now less mouthy and can regulate all her excitement. She is also house and crate trained. She may fuss a bit if she hears you having fun without her but overall shes doing great. We are still saying older kids only .. as we would with any heeler.

Maeve has attended doggy daycare and is dog friendly! Probably too much for tiny or senior dogs. However, she was out with more dominant dogs and did just fine when they told her to calm it down a bit. We have no idea how she would be with a cat.

She thrives with a routine especially when she knows she gets to play games, work, or go for walks at certain times during the day. Attention from her humans is also something she enjoys. When shes really happy she does a little snort and its the cutest thing in the world.

Maeve is the type of dog that will make you get off the couch and go and see all the outdoor wonders life has to offer. If interested in being her forever family please fill out the adoption application below.

Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TAPP/Dog

The Atlantic Paws Project's Adoption Policy
At The Atlantic Paws Project, our adoption policies are designed to ensure that every dog is placed in a loving, permanent home as a cherished family member. We require adopters to provide a "nonrefundable" donation to support our rescue efforts and commit to high standards of care, which includes keeping the dog primarily indoors with full house privileges, providing quality nutrition, and ensuring they are never used as guard animals or transported in open vehicles. Adopters assume full responsibility for all veterinary care including maintaining current vaccinations, heartworm, and flea/tick preventatives and must keep microchip information up to date. If behavioral challenges arise, we require owners to work with a professional trainer to resolve them; however, if an adoption cannot continue for any reason, the dog must be returned to us rather than being sold or rehomed elsewhere. Ultimately, we view adoption as a lifelong commitment, and while we provide all known health and temp
