Mae Mae's Story

Mae Mae is an adorable 10lb Jack Russell mix with soulful eyes who came to us from Southern IL, our vet thinks she's around 6 to 9 months old.

Mae Mae loves playtime! She loves to fetch her toys and show off her zoomies. Her tennis ball and squeaky toys are favorites, and she would enjoy a fenced yard where she can run and play, but it's not required. Walks and playtime will make her just as happy!

Once playtime is over, Mae Mae has another favorite activity: sleeping! She is crate trained and happily snoozes all night. In the morning, she stretches slooowly before looking for some cuddles. She's working on her potty training, being crate trained is a foundational step towards being house broken. Her new family can continue with the consistency and positive reinforcement to help her finish strong! She's a smart little one who learns quickly.

Mae Mae can be a little shy and vocal when she first meets new people, but she wags her tail and warms up quickly. She can be bribed easily if new people offer treats! She gets along really well with other dogs and has been respectful of the cat in her foster home.

Mae Mae will do well with someone who appreciates her animated Terrier personality and gives her the chance to keep learning. She absolutely shines when she has someone who plays with her, teaches her new things, and melts in for snuggles. She's one of those small dogs that change big dog people's minds about small dogs!

Mae Mae is the perfect combination of zoomies + fetch + snuggles + serious napping. She's ready to find her people... those who will appreciate all the wonderful things that make her Mae Mae.

Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 11-3 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.

Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs! https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue
