Mae's Story

Meet Mae, a 45 lb four-month-old Large Great Dane mix. She is full of energy and could be the best playmate for her forever family.

Mae has mastered playtime so if it squeaks or rolls she loves it. She will even collect kindling for your spring fires, just take her gift quickly.

When it comes to potty time, Mae is still learning to hold it between outside bathroom visits ,but she goes quickly most of the time whenever she is taken outside on the leash.

Mae has no trouble going inter her crate at night and does so quietly. Although she is crate trained, she would be happier to be inside of it undisturbed by other dogs.

Mae is a ball of energy and is able to play hardcore for over two hours at a time. She also plays well with her human brother and dog foster sisters, but does not yet understand how big she is in comparison. Mae would be best in a home with older children, adults, or dogs near her size.

Mae is currently located in the Cincinnati, OH area and her adoption fee is $400.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
