Madeline's Story

Madeline
About a month and a half ago, this sweet girl walked out of a rural shelter with her babies by her side-babies who were only a month old at the time. Since then, she's done her job beautifully. Nearly all of her puppies have found their forever homes, and the rest are thriving in foster, living their best, happiest little lives.
And Madeline? She's still waiting.
At just a year and a half old, Madeline is truly the total package. We think she's some kind of Lab/Cattle Dog mix... but honestly, she's just 100% lovable super mutt. She is incredibly sweet, submissive with other dogs, and obsessed with making friends-always rolling belly-up to say hello and ready to play with anyone who will join her.
She's dog-friendly, kid-friendly, house-trained, crate-trained, and very food motivated (aka easy to win over ). She's an active, playful girl who would thrive in so many different types of homes. The only thing she's not a fan of? Cats.
We truly don't understand how she keeps getting overlooked.
We know many of you have noticed an influx of puppies lately-and while we're so grateful to be able to save them, the reality is we can only take in dogs when we have fosters available. Right now, adult dogs like Madeline are the ones waiting the longest... even the really good ones.
Madeline is one of the lucky ones who made it out-but so many others are still sitting in shelters, hoping for a chance. And even she is still searching for her forever family.
Adult dogs are just as deserving. Just as loving. Just as life-changing.
If you've been thinking about adding a dog to your family, please consider Madeline.
If you're not ready to adopt, fostering an adult dog is one of the most impactful ways you can help us save more lives.
Let's get this perfect mama the happy ending she deserves.
