Maddox and Princess

It's looking like 2026 is the year of bonded pairs for us! <br/><br/>In our years of animal sheltering Maddox and Princess might be the most bonded pair yet. They came to us when circumstances made it impossible for their owner to care for them. They had come to their owner each as pups. Is the bond so strong because Princess looks to Maddox as her big brother or because Maddox looks to Princess as he guide dog? Maybe it's a bit of both - we'll never really know. Even though they no longer have their family, they still have one another.<br/><br/>Maddox is an incredibly gentle, soulful, easy-going 9 year old yellow lab/hound mix (best guess). He is visually impaired, and perhaps hard of hearing as well, but he navigates the world well and truly enjoys his outings. Like many of us approaching our golden years, Maddox does have arthritis, but his mobility has improved greatly with daily exercise, medication and supplements. <br/><br/>Please read the next posting for more about Princess. All have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, kennel cough, DH(L)PP, have had a complete fecal analysis, treated for internal and external parasites, are heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative and flea and tick preventative and are microchipped. Stop in on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10- 1, Saturdays from 10 - 4, Sundays from 2-5 without an appointment or call us at 607-594-2255 to schedule an appointment.
