Macy's Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Macy is a delightful lady who will win you over with just one look. She is gentle and loving and she is ready to be a cherished family member. Macy would love a family that will include her in their plans. Whether it's lounging around on a cozy couch or being someone's sidekick on a Sunday drive this girl is happy to be right beside you. Even though Macy's a tripod she can keep up with everyone....she doesn't let anything get her down!

Macy is respectful towards other dogs and would be fine with a canine companion that possesses her same calm demeanor. She has learned that cats are her friend and, after careful introductions, she is living peacefully with a cat in her foster home. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children we are asking for a home without children under 8 years of age. Macy has impeccable house manners and is crate trained.

Macy recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She came into rescue with an old injury to her front right leg. The decision was made to amputate the leg because of her inability to use it. Macy has a grade 2 heart murmur. It is recommended that this be monitored at her yearly senior wellness exams. She also has a grade 1 luxating patella on her left rear leg and grade 2 on her right rear leg. This is not a concern at this time and surgery is not warranted, however, it is advised that this be monitored at her yearly senior wellness exams. Macy is spayed microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is 8 years old and weighs 12 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
