Macy's Story

My name is Macy, and Im 5 years old.

I came from a shelter where I was out of time, underweight, heartworm positive, and trying so hard to stay quiet that the world almost forgot I was even there. I raised my babies there. I survived what I shouldn't have had to survive. And somehow... I got a second chance.

I am soft, gentle, and finally safe.

I am a sweet, low key girl who prefers sunbathing over sprinting and a cozy bed over chaos. Im crate trained, potty trained, and house trained, though Ill admit I can be tempted if you leave something tasty on the counter. I ride well in the car and walk nicely on a leash, just don't blame me if I get a little excited about squirrels and birds.

I live for slow strolls around the block and even more for quiet company. Im doing really well with my playful foster sister, but honestly Id rather cuddle than wrestle. My tail stays wagging when people are kind to me, and I soak up praise like its my job.

What I need most is a calm, quiet home where I can keep learning that life doesnt have to be scary or loud.

I wasn't supposed to make it out.

But I did.

And now Im just waiting for someone to choose me.

MORE INFO:
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, or scheduled to be if they arrived in our care too young.
