Mack's Story

Meet Mack

Mack is a 2-year-old, ~30 lb Pit mix with a calm, gentle nature. He's a quiet guy (no barking!) who loves kids and is incredibly gentle - no jumping, just sweet interactions. Mack is a true "shadow dog" who enjoys being close to his people and soaking up affection.

He's very food-motivated and loves filled Kongs and pet-safe fruits and veggies, making bonding and training fun. Mack has made great progress with potty training - he previously only pottied in his kennel, and that behavior has stopped.

Before rescue, Mack spent much of his time crated in a basement. Despite that, he is affectionate, calm, and eager to be part of a home. He would do best with a family who can offer consistency, patience, and lots of reassurance.

Mack is ready for a fresh start and a loving home of his own.

All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. If you have other dogs in your home, we require that they meet our dog prior to adoption.
Adoption fee: $225
Once you apply, the foster will contact you to schedule a meet and greet.
Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
